Obituary For David E. Patman

David E. Patman, age 63, of Athens, GA passed October 29, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at The Chapel of Jackson-McWhorter Funeral home with interment in Mt. Sinai Church Cemetery, Bogart, GA.

Viewing, Friday, 1-6 PM, at the funeral home.

Survivors include: two children, a daughter, Kristie Patman of Athens, GA and a son, Antonio Patman of Buford, GA; two grandsons, Omari Patman and C.J. Long both of Athens, GA; four stepdaughters, Joevelyn Moore of Winder, GA, Paula (Jimmy) Davis of Athens, GA, Tonya Hinton of Auburn, GA and Ulanda Bradford of Winder, GA; four step grandchildren; a special friend, Martha Pearson of Athens, GA; special niece, Gwendolyn Sorden of Athens, GA; a special child raised in the home, Brittany Spratlin of Athens, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    David, I Will always remember your smiling face. David was my cousin, and that's what he called us cuz, because he didn't recall our names but he knew who his family was.     I have known David my whole life. Most people are known for calling him by his nickname but, he was always David to me. I saw him a few weeks ago for the first time in years. He came over to the car to chat with us while telling me I looked differently from how he remembered me. We all laughed at the fact that we are getting older and changes are bound to happen. At the time I did not know that was be my last time seeing him alive but I am grateful for the opportunity. Rest well David.
