  • I knew Henry for a few years while he worked at Athens Technical College. He was such a sweet, friendly man. He always made sure that my coworkers and I were happy with the way our room had been cleaned. He would often joke with us. One time he pretended he had caught a snake outside the building! That prank backfired when we weren't scared and asked to see the nonexistent snake. I'll miss you, Henry. -Amanda McKay

  • Henry was a great person - always friendly, willing to assist. He also had a passion for plants and was persistently interested in what I was teaching to my horticulture students. We traded plants several times and he helped add to our collection that we use for teaching. He passed on too soon and will be missed.

  • I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Henry at Athens Technical College. He was witty and kind, just a really nice man. He was well-like by everyone at the college, and he will be missed by the entire college community. Prayers for Mr. Henry's family as they deal with the loss and their grief. Kathryn Thomas

  • i will miss you telling us here at Athens Library, "Good Morning". The last words you said to me was, "I will see you later". One day we will our friend.

  • Mr. Henry was one of the first people I met when I started as a student at Athens Tech in 2018. He always had a kind, encouraging word for me and listened as I whined a bit about my difficult healthcare classes. My sincere prayers go out to the family. Your kind-hearted loved one has meant a lot to the students of ATC. May God be with you all.

  • Tommy and I will miss Henry. Loved to camp and go fishing!

  • Henry was the kindest & gentlest volunteer at the American Red Cross Blood Donor Center when I worked there from 2005-12. His sweetness has stayed with me ever since. I could always tell how much he believed in the Red Cross's mission. Life continues if we give richly of our time and blood drops. Please donate blood or platelets in his memory if you can. And/or volunteer for a cause that you believe in. Your time given out of unconditional love will ripple in every direction. Just like Henry's time on Earth is done for now, but his impact is not. ❤️ 🌍 🩸 Rest In Peace, Henry. 🥰

  • To my family my condolences to you all during your hr of Bereavement. Henry will be truly missed at the Family picnics in August. One thing I can say is he truly loved his family. May God Comfort & Strengthen you is my prayer. RIHP Henry❤ Shavonne Fuller (Reid Family Lincolnton)

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Henry and working with him at Athens Technical College. He was the first person I saw when returning to work during the COVID crisis. He was very assuring of how they had been cleaning the buildings, and I knew that if all custodians were like this, I would be safe. Thank you Henry for your kindness and good natured humor you will be missed.

  • Rest in peace my brother. Spread your wings.
