Obituary for Joe Willie Wymbs "Uncle Joe"

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Joe Willie Wymbs, of Decatur, GA formerly of Crawford, GA, will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the mortuary at 10:30 AM

Public Viewing will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 12:00 NOON until 8:00 PM, at the mortuary.

Joe Willie Wymbs was born May 4, 1923 to Mrs. Willie Mae Howard, being the eldest of 8 children. He was raised by his aunt, Emma Howard Wymbs and was a member of the Clark Grove Baptist Church in Stephens, GA.

He retired from the Clarke County School System with over 30 years of service at Cedar Shoals High School in the Custodial Department. He was also an employee of The University of Georgia at Leconte Hall retiring just at the age of 95 with over 40 years of service to UGA.

He leaves to cherish his many memories to a son, Mr. Timothy Smith; twin sisters, Ms. Thelma Jean Jackson and Ms. Emma Jean Davey; special nieces, Patricia Ann Scott and Della Hull; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, neighbors and friends.

Following the service, interment will be at Washington Memorial Gardens, 700 Jordan Lane Decatur, GA 30030.

We had some nice talks and it was funny when you said that I checked on you too much I really joyed your stay with me and I was hoping that you was going to come back and stay with me some more but God saw fit to have you to come where he was and all of your sibblings again but I will still miss you,love your Niece Pat Scott
